This park is nestled in a steep valley on the eastern side of the Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. A hiking trail in Estes Park is the perfect way to spend a sunny summer day. There are many options to choose from, here are the 10 best trails on the beautiful lake near Estes Park.

Lake Right

A popular 1.3-kilometer-long hiking trail in Estes Park passes through a reservoir of the same name in the Glacier Basin. This simple trail is perfect for families and senior citizens, with stunning views of the rugged peaks of the Western Continental Divide. Moose wades in shallow water, beavers swim in the crystal clear lake, or you can fish for brown trout from the rocky shore. The compact gravel surface of the path is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.

Bear Lake

The 1.2-kilometer Bear Lake Trail runs along the famous Bear Lake and overlooks the rocky peaks on the forest ridge in the center of Rocky Mountain National Park. And enjoy the scenery on this trail in Estes Park. One of the best views is to look south at Langs Peak on the north side of Bear Lake.

Nymph Lake, Lake of Dreams, and Emerald Lake Trail

The waterfall falls into the lake at the west end.

Treasure Lake

The Temperate Treasure Lake Trail starts at the beginning of this trail in Estes Park north of Estes Park and stretches for 3 miles, leading to a sparkling jewel lake surrounded by granite boulders.
