Journey
Day 1
Manali, Solang, Dhundi and Bakerthach
Distance: 12kms drive, 11km trip; duration: 8-9 hours
Once you reach Manali, it is best to drive up to the Solang camp at a distance of 12kms. This is the point at which the journey officially begins. From Solang, hike and walk along the Beas River 8 km to Dhundi. This first leg of the trip is slow and long.
A relatively easy trip makes you meet the beautiful views of Deo Tibba, Indrasan Peak and Hanuman Tibba. Once you reach Dhundi, you head ahead to cross a small bridge near the itinerary. After crossing the bridge you will arrive in Bakerthach. Take a whole day to relax and explore at Bakethach.
Day 2
Bakerthach, Beas Kund, Bakerthach
Distance: 6km; duration: 6-7 hours
The second leg of the trek from Bakerthach is relatively strong and very blessed with natural beauty. As you start the climb from Bakerthach you will meet a small lake for a while from Dhundi. This small lake is Beas Kund, and it is considered to be the source of the Beas river. The melting of the alpine ice on the way to the kund is the first reason for this kund or small pond.
Among the other beautiful views of the Dhauladhar range, you can see beautiful peaks around the lake like Shitidhar, Makerbeh, and Shikhar Beh. Relax slightly in this panoramic and head back to the same route to Bakerthach. Try to arrive on time so that you can get proper rest and sleep at night.
Day 3
Bakerthach, Solang, Manali
Back in the first leg of the trek, you enter a slow descent towards Dhundi from Bakerthach by the same route. If you are in Solang, experience the various activities in the region and explore the environment in this blessed valley.
